I am often asked "Why should I join SIFE?" Rather than hearing from a teacher the advantages of SIFE, read below to see what actual SIFE alums are saying about their experiences.
" ... I realize that my SIFE experiences gave me a significant advantage over others and helped me build a foundation to be prepared in the workplace. While my college classes give me a great education, SIFE helped me with all the important things you don't learn in the classroom ... the unwritten rules of business, how to interact and work with people, how to differentiate yourself and get noticed." Carmen Callies-Garcia, HR Business Partner - SUPERVALU
"I learned how to manage my time better and had the chance to network with a number of business people within the community." Bevan Phillipe, Financial Service Representative - Ironstone Bank
"The SIFE career fairs are above and beyond others I attended. The sheer volume and quality of the companies is unmatched, in my opinion." Andy Rupley, Store Manager - Walgreens

Entrepreneurship Luncheon was a HUGE success!
Congratulations to the RSU SIFE entrepreneurship luncheon team and the RSU Innovation Center for creating such a successful experience for RSU students and the Claremore community. If you did not attend, you really missed out.
David Rutkauskas, founder of Camille's Sidewalk Cafe, spoke about his experiences of leading a global restaurant enterprise. After Mr. Rutkauskas' presentation, those in attendance had the opportunity to talk with additional successful local entrepreneurs during a round-table luncheon. Following the luncheon, 8 lucky students were chosen to attend a workshop with multi-faceted entrepreneur, Clay Clark. Mr. Clark, owner of DJ Connections and Fear & Clark Realty, not only inspired the students to pursue their entrepreneural dreams, but gave very practical information and advice that I know benefited our students greatly.

This morning two RSU SIFE members taught students at Claremont Elementary a basic lesson that meets the SIFE criteria: Environmental Sustainability and Success Skills. Also incorporated into the lesson was the seriousness of hunger in the United States and ways in which the children and their families can address this issue.
Thank you Claremont Elementary for allowing us to work with you!
